Standard materials for spring wire:

Carbon Steel:

Trade names: C67S, C75S, C85S, 1.1231, 1.1248, 1.1269
Properties: High strength, good elasticity, good deformability
Areas of application: vehicle industry, mechanical engineering, electrical industry

Stainless steel spring wire (stainless steel):

Trade names: X10CrNi18-8 (1.4310), X5CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4401)
Properties: High corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties
Areas of application: medical technology, food processing, automotive industry



Special materials for spring wire:

Phosphor Bronze:
Trade name: CuSn8 (CW450K)
Properties: High elasticity, good corrosion resistance
Areas of application: electrical engineering, musical instruments, precision springs

Beryllium Copper:
Trade names: CuBe2 (CW101C), CuBe2Pb (CW104C)
Properties: High strength, excellent elasticity, good thermal conductivity

Carbon Steel:

Trade names: C67S, C75S, C85S, 1.1231, 1.1248, 1.1269
Properties: High strength, good formability, good wear resistance

Trade names: X5CrNi18-10 (1.4301), X6CrNiTi18-10 (1.4541)

Aluminum Alloys:

Trade names: AlMg3 (EN AW-5754), AlCuMg1 (EN AW-2024)

Copper alloys:

Trade name: CuZn37 (CW508L)
Properties: Good electrical conductivity, good cold formability, good corrosion resistance

When choosing the right material for metal springs, it is advisable to consider the specific requirements of the application as well as professional advice.



We use materials from suppliers and producers with whom we have maintained trusting relationships for many years and whose qualities for feather production meet the highest standards.



We use the following standard materials made of round spring steel wire:

  • Non-rusting spring steel wire V2A according to EN10270-3 (1.4310)
  • Spring steel wire patented, drawn according to EN10270-1 (grade SH / DH)
  • Spring steel wire, patented, drawn and pre-galvanized according to EN10270-1 (grade SH-Z / DH-Z)



We use the following special materials:

  • Non-rusting spring steel wire V4A according to EN10270-3 (1.4568)
  • Non-rusting spring steel wire V4A according to EN10270-3 (1.4571)
  • Non-magnetic and non-rusting austenitic steel (1.4401)
  • Wrought copper alloys such as spring bronze (2.1247) CuSn6, brass wire (2.0321) and beryllium bronze (2.1247)



We also use:

  • Inconel X750
  • Hastelloy C4
  • Nimonic 90
  • Titanium wire
  • Aluminum Wire
  • Iron Wire



For our products made of flat strip material for stamped and bent parts and leaf springs, we use:

  • Non-rusting spring steel wire V2A according to EN10270-3 (1.4310)
  • CK75 spring steel strip
  • Strip steel St37
  • Brass bands
